The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver Honors The AR Group’s Founder at Business Award Luncheon

April 26, 2012 Awards

The AR Group, a business law and HR services firm, announced today that its Founder and Managing Partner, Victoria T. Aguilar, was chosen as the “Business Woman of the Year” by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver. Ms. Aguilar was presented with the award at the chamber’s annual Business Awards Luncheon held today at the Hyatt Regency Denver, where a crowd of more than 800 gathered to celebrate the successes of business leaders in the Hispanic community.

The Business Award nominees were selected by a nomination committee of past winners and chamber board members. Candidates were evaluated based on business success, involvement with organizations, committees and board of directors that promote Hispanic business development, as well as Hispanic business outreach and involvement with the Hispanic Chamber.

“It was an honor to be nominated for this award. To actually be chosen as the Business Woman of the Year is an honor that is hard to express particularly for an award of this stature that is chosen by my peers,” said Victoria T. Aguilar, Founder and Managing Partner of The AR Group. “This recognition, while certainly not necessary, is motivation to continue my work in the Hispanic community and in support of minority advocacy.”

“The members we recognized today are passionate individuals who set exceptional examples in Denver’s business scene,” said Guillermo “Bill” Vidal, president and CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Denver. “The Hispanic Chamber is growing rapidly because members like the ones honored today are making great strides for businesses, education and policies in Denver.”

At today’s luncheon, eight other business awards were also presented, including a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the late Paul Sandoval.
