Victoria Aguilar is the Founder and Managing Director of The AR Group, LLC – an HR consulting firm headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

As an AV-Preeminent rated employment lawyer, Victoria has earned a reputation as a valuable resource to clients.  With more than 24 years of experience providing compliance and counseling services to Fortune 500 companies including GE, Time Warner Telecom, and US WEST along with small business clients alike, Victoria assists clients in effectively managing employee-related issues and concerns. Certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources by both the Human Resource Certification Institute and the Society of Human Resource Managers, she has served as the Chief Human Resource Officer for unionized and non-unionized companies. Given her unique background, Victoria is often called on to serve as an expert witness in litigation involving HR policy and/or process compliance.

Active in the Denver Hispanic community, Victoria sits on the Board of the National Hispanic Voter Educational Foundation and performs pro bono work for Mi Casa, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the economic success of Latino families in Colorado. Previously, she was actively involved with the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council and served on the Board of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Denver. Victoria also routinely presents on topics ranging from human resource compliance, EEO principles and developments, human capital management compliance updates, and topics related to professional development.

Victoria has received awards and recognition for her work as a top attorney, community leader and successful business owner. In 2007, Excelsior Youth Center recognized Victoria as a “Triumphant Woman” for serving as a strong role model to girls in need; in 2012, the Hispanic Chapter of Metro Denver named Victoria the “Business Woman of the Year” and at the same time, the US Small Business Administration selected her for its e200 Leadership Program.  The accolades continued in 2013 when Colorado Law Week named Victoria one of “Colorado’s Best Women Attorneys” and in 2015, Attorney@Work named Victoria an “Enterprising Lawyer” for her innovative approach to serving small businesses.  More recently, Victoria was asked to serve as a judge in selecting finalists for “2019 Colorado Companies to Watch” Award and spoke at the 36th Annual Great American Beer Festival, addressing human capital-related concerns, unique to the craft brewing industry.  Victoria has also been invited to speak in May 2019 about EEO compliance, investigations and harassment training at a Craft Brewers Human Resources Group Summit in Sonoma, California.

Victoria holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston College, graduating with the honor of Summa Cum Laude while also being recognized as a Scholar of the College. Victoria earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Minnesota and New Mexico.
